20 Feb 13 Processing of some returns affected by incorrect address information

The ATO advises that some lodgments have been received with a c/- or PO Box in the residential or business address field, which may delay the processing.

To avoid this, agents should ensure to enter their client's physical residential or business address in this field when lodging.

Whilst the ELS validation report will confirm lodgment of the income tax return, the status of the return on the Tax Agent Portal will not display as 'lodged'.

The ATO says that a solution has been identified to resolve this issue and will be deployed as soon as possible.
