In reference to member 267’s comments, if the matter cannot be cancelled at the ATO end and requires an objection and other work to fix ATO administration errors, then I would suggest a claim be lodged for compensation. The ATO were very good with my claim and subtly acknowledged the horror story inflicted. Good luck and I hope it can be fixed before it gets that far.
