ATO response: 

In designing Online services for agents, one of our main aims was to give agents access to more information including visibility of account information that is not visible in the Tax or BAS agent portals.  One of the consequences of this increased visibility of accounts is that agents may now see links to a specific client account(s) even if they have not acted for that client for some time. We are currently developing methods of assisting agents with dealing with this and will be advising agents shortly.
