On 22 July The Tax Institute was quoted in InvestorDaily: ‘TASA registration should require ‘extensive’ education’’ in relation to our submission to Treasury regarding the proposed registration requirements for registered tax (financial) advisers.
On 23 July The Tax Institute was quoted in SmartCompany: ‘Proposed self-education tax deduction cap could cost $6 billion in lost productivity: Universities Australia submission’ regarding the government’s proposed cap on self-education tax deductions.
On 24 July we were quoted in the SMH and the Age: ‘Tax crackdown has to be global’ in relation to the government's tax transparency initiative.
The Tax Institute was also quote on 24 July in BRW: ‘Greens back Coalition’s parental leave scheme, complete with company tax hike’ in relation to the Coalition's paid parental leave scheme and company tax rates.
We were also quoted with respect to the government's announced changes to the FBT car statutory method in numerous papers via AAP: ‘Car leases not a rort, says tax expert’
