On 19 June, the Australian Financial Review published an opinion piece from The Tax Institute: ‘ACT tax fix a chance for federal action’. In the piece we argue that the federal government should bring the states on board and seize the opportunity to set a national vision for tax reform that includes the repeal of inefficient state taxes.
We were also quoted on 19 June in the Australian Financial Review: ‘Controversial tax changes win backing’ in regards to our opposition to retrospective consolidation and TOFA changes.
The Australian Financial Review again quoted us on 19 June: ‘Most people ignorant of superannuation overhaul’ regarding superannuation changes and the lack of proper consultation.
We also spoke with ABC Radio Rural Queensland on 21 June, regarding tax tips for agricultural business.
