08 Feb 13 The Tax Institute in the Media
The Tax Institute was quoted on 4 February in the Australian Financial Review: ‘Multinationals in tax firing line’ with regards to the government considering cuts to business tax concessions. In the article we say were the government to resort to any business concession cuts, the sort of rancour the working group found in its discussion about possible changes would rear its head.
On 5 February the Australian Financial Review quoted us regarding transparency for multinational companies: ‘Name and shame tax move ‘threat to investment’’. In the article we say (amongst other things) that the transparency initiative formed an interesting contrast to the secrecy position on the mining tax.
On 7 February an opinion piece written by The Tax Institute was published in the Australian Financial Review: ’Government’s super reform mustn’t be deal-breaker’ (see above discussion in Preamble).
