15 Mar 13 The Tax Institute in the Media

The Tax Institute was mentioned on 12 March in the Australian Financial Review: ‘Jordan to set up independent tax appeals’ regarding the new Commissioner of Taxation’s speech at our 28th National Convention.

On 12 March we were also quoted on this in SmartCompany: ‘Independence and clarity the aim as ATO overhauls appeals process’. 

On 13 March The Tax Institute was quoted in the Australian Financial Review: ‘ATO clarity to boost investor confidence’ regarding the Commissioner of Taxation's appeals and tax design changes. 

On 14 March we were mentioned in three stories in the Australian Financial Review, based on our National Convention speakers: Chris Jordan, The Hon Richard Court and The Hon Justice Michelle Gordon.

On the same day the National Convention was also mentioned in StartUpSmart: ‘ATO commissioner Chris Jordan promises to "drive change" in tax system’ and BRW: ‘“Let’s not throw stones at each other,” new tax commissioner Chris Jordan urges business’ with regards to Commissioner Jordan’s speech . 

On 14 March The Tax Institute issued a press release: ‘Independence and Clarity Key for Sound Tax Administration’ in response to Commissioner Jordan’s speech at the National Convention.
