The ATO reminds that the first electronic lodgment after 1 July 2014 will indicate your preferred channel for receiving your clients’ activity statements into the future.
Once the ATO receives an electronic lodgment it will no longer send that client’s activity statement out by paper.
From 1 July 2014, if you lodge using the:
- electronic lodgment service (ELS) – future activity statements will be sent to your ELS mailbox when they are generated
- Standard Business Reporting, portals or the electronic commerce interface – future activity statements will be available in all of these channels. You can also receive an email to advise when they are available.
The date you lodge will determine when the paper activity statement will be turned off.
