They all sit there as 'Overdue' – surely if it is 'automatic', the 'system' would press its own button on Monday night 29 April and finalise all the IASs in its system.
If you ever want to call the ATO and arrange a Payment Arrangement, you never can until the debt is sitting on the account.
The debt doesn't appear until the Automatic Finalising procedure has been performed (or you ring up and they say, oh we can finalise that for you now – but why do you have to ring up to have that happen?)"
