Assisting Non-Resident Clients Roadshow 2012

Published on 28 Nov 2012 | Took place at Various , National

This roadshow was aimed at practitioners who wanted to assist their SME clients who are:
  • considering establishing a business in Australia
  • wanting to employ overseas workers, or
  • high net worth individuals, business migrants or investors who are coming to Australia to work.
This roadshow was particularly useful for practitioners who do not regularly advise on international tax issues or who are looking for a refresher in this area. Using detailed case studies, this seminar guided delegates through scenarios designed to assist them in providing practical advice to their clients dealing with non-resident issues. The case studies looked at the choices available, the associated taxation risks, implications, reporting obligations and red flags to watch out for.
