This paper provides corporate tax directors and management with a high level and practical overview of developments and issues impacting key areas of tax consolidation, including the effect of:
- the single entity rule
- tax cost setting rules
- tax sharing agreements issues, in the context of merger and acquisition transactions.
Richard Czerwik FTI
Richard is an Executive Director with the EY Tax Centre for Excellence. Richard focuses on the identification and analysis of new developments and new issues for the EY tax practice and its clients. He has been heavily involved in business tax reform developments and has participated in various consultation forums with the Treasury, the ATO and professional bodies. He is currently a member of The Tax Institute’s Victorian Education Committee and its National Education Committee. Current at 03 July 2014

Brian is an Associate Director at Ernst & Young. Brian assists the Australian Corporate Tax Consulting Group in respect of a broad range of issues with a focus on new developments for clients. Brian has participated in numerous consultation forums on tax consolidation with Treasury, the Australian Taxation Office and the professional accounting bodies throughout the ongoing development of tax consolidation law.
