Ian is the Ernst & Young Transaction Tax joint practice leader for Oceania. Ian has over 15 years experience in providing Australian and international corporate taxation advice, with a focus on large-scale due diligence and merger and acquisition activity. Ian advises several high-profile multi-national companies on multi-jurisdictional acquisitions, corporate actions and cross-border financing transactions. Brian Lane
Brian is an Associate Director at Ernst & Young. Brian assists the Australian Corporate Tax Consulting Group in respect of a broad range of issues with a focus on new developments for clients. Brian has participated in numerous consultation forums on tax consolidation with Treasury, the Australian Taxation Office and the professional accounting bodies throughout the ongoing development of tax consolidation law. Dr Kar Mei Tang
Dr Tang is the Head of Research at the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Associated Ltd (AVCAL). She has over 15 years experience in financial markets research, business and regulation. Prior to joining AVCAL in 2008, she was with the SMARTS Group (now part of Nasdaq OMX), and has held roles with the Capital Markets CRC and Securities Industry Research Centre of Asia-Pacific consulting for private and public sector clients. Kar Mei began her career in financial market regulation, and was a member of various APEC and ASEAN committees on financial market development, and ministerial drafting committees, from 1998 to 2003.
