Liam Cooke
Liam Cooke is a Principal Auditor and Advisor in the OSR and is responsible for conducting investigations into complex commercial arrangements. Liam brings to this role 18 years experience in revenue management and has held several positions in the OSR, including Manager Technical Advice where he was responsible for the revenue rulings and practice directions program. An experienced presenter, Liam has delivered a number of seminars on a range of topics, most recently in resect of the launch of the Duties Act 2001 and Taxation Administration Act 2001. Melinda Watson
Melinda worked as a Solicitor specialising in Banking and Finance prior to joining OSR. Since joining the Queensland OSR in 1997, Melinda has held a wide range of positions including Legal Officer, Senior Training Officer, Manager Technical Advice Branch and, presently Director, Policy & Legislation Division. She also recently took on a key role as Manager in the legislative team responsible for the drafting of the Duties Act 2001. She has extensive knowledge of the new legislation, particularly in relation to more complex commercial transactions. Melinda has responsibility for leading the Policy Legislation Division (which also includes the Legal Branch and the Administrative Policy Branch). Current at 09 June 2005
