- CGT issues - rollovers, goodwill, etc.
- employer share plans and remuneration packaging
- borrowings - keeping the interest deductible.
This was also presented by Damien Clarke and Ash Chotai at the Cradle to Grave 2004 seminar held in Brisbane on 26 February 2004.
Ash is a Director with Chotais Chartered Accountants in Brisbane and has in excess of 25 years’ experience in the provision of tax and business advice to small and medium enterprises and high net wealth persons. His areas of interest include business and asset structuring, asset protection and estate planning. Ash is a former Queensland State Chairman and State Councillor of The Tax Institute, and a former member of the National Education Committee, and is a regular presenter for The Tax Institute and other professional bodies.

Damien is a partner in and the head of, McCullough Robertson's Business Law and Revenue Group, specialising in transaction and structuring taxation with an emphasis on capital gains tax, GST and stamp duty. Damien has presented to a number of forums including the Tax Institute and the Queensland Law Society on GST, stamp duty and capital gains tax among other topics.
