Ross BROOKES
Ross Brookes is an Assistant Commissioner in the Financial Services Industry Group, Large Business and International, Australian Taxation Office. Ross has worked in the ATO for over 26 years on significant public rulings, special issue active compliance projects, litigation and legislation on structured finance related issues ranging from leveraged leasing, infrastructure and capital management to cross border hybrid finance. Ross is currently Australia’s Country Leader to OECD Working Party No. 8 Aggressive Tax Planning Focus Group on Hybrids. He also leads the Australian Taxation Office’s implementation of TOFA stages three and four.
