Noel Rowland looks at the challenges ahead of the taxation profession in the coming year, including the impact on cash flow with GST, PAYG and last year's tax. He emphasises the TIA's continuing push for simplification and improvement of the tax system, particularly in consideration of the current uncertainty surrounding key issues such as Entity Tax, Thin Capitalisation, Consolidations and the Tax Value Method.
Noel Rowland joined the Institute in December 1994 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in July 1998. He is an experienced association executive having worked for a number of industry associations, the last being Aged Care Australia.
