CEO's report: The new brand identity of The Tax Institute

The Tax Institute is this month launching a new brand identity. Noel Rowland discusses the background behind the change and what members can expect.

Noel was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Tax Institute in July 1998 and served until 2017. He was also a Director of the Australian Tax Research Foundation, an independent Foundation that conducts and publishes tax policy research.

Noel was Secretary General (i.e. CEO) of the Asia Oceania Tax Consultants’ Association (an international association of 21 tax institutes from the region) between 2009 and 2014.

Noel has on two occasions served as Chairman of the ITDF, an international forum of Tax Institute CEO’s.

He represented the Institute on various industry forums and groups, and was one of the Institute’s media spokespersons.

Noel is a former member of the Law Society of NSW’s Professional Conduct Committee.
