Members have told us how difficult it is to induct and develop staff who can make a difference to their firms. Add this to the frustration of the skills shortage and they believe the time they spend in training and development could be better applied to client work. This opportunity cost is the fundamental reason for the development of the programs which were first established in 2006.
Ruth is the General Manager of Education and is responsible for the Events and Education Division of the Institute. She holds a Master of Adult Education and Training (UTS 1999) and a Master of Business (UTS 2005). Prior to joining the Taxation Institute of Australia in March 2005, Ruth's previous experience spanned educational roles in other membership organisations in the finance, investment, accounting and financial planning sectors. Since joining the Taxation Institute Ruth has overseen the development and implementation of the Institute's Structured Education Program. Current at 01 January 2016
