Author profile:

William BROWN
William is currently a member of the Group Tax Department of Westpac Banking Corporation with significant experience in corporate GST and VAT matters and is currently working on GST apportionment, the International Financial Reporting Standards and Transfer Pricing. In his previous role at Citigroup, as Regional GST/VAT Counsel, he successfully implemented and was solely responsible for all GST advice in Citigroup with regional VAT responsibilities for Asia Pacific. William has nine years of financial services experience primarily focusing on taxation and in particular GST/VAT. He is currently admitted as a legal practitioner in the NSW Supreme Court and holds undergraduate degrees in Arts, Law and Commerce, and a Masters in Taxation.
