Getting ready for year end

Source: South Australia

Published Date: 23 May 2006

This presentation highlights a number of important new income tax and superannuation issues that should be considered for the first time in the context of tax planning and preparing our clients for 30 June 2006. In addition, the presentation briefly overviews the more traditional year-end tax planning practices. In particular the following is discussed:

  • service trusts - how should we be advising our clients in the lead up to 30 June 2006?
  • 2006 Federal Budget. Are there any planning opportunities that arise from the 2006 Budget?
  • superannuation changes
  • traditional year-end tax planning.
