Tax consolidation: compliance matters - is your consolidation choice notice valid?

Publication date: 14 Jan 05 | Source: WEEKLY TAX BULLETIN

Issue: No 2 14 January 2005

Pages: 67-71

Abstract:

The ATO's release of "Notification issues in tax consolidation", advising taxpayers of some issues surrounding a notification form evidencing a group's choice to consolidate, highlights the ATO's concentration on compliance with new provisions. These came about due to the grouping provisions under the tax law being repealed on 30 June 2003.
