The Hobart Tax Discussion Group meets monthly from February to November and brings together practitioners to collaborate, exchange insights and stay informed on emerging technical developments. Sessions combine structured technical updates with practical, discussion-based learning.

How the Sessions Run

Each session is an informal, discussion-based forum run by members of the group, supported by The Tax Institute. The format encourages open conversation, practical insights and peer-to-peer learning.

Every month, the group discuss:

  • Monthly Tax Update – a group tax discussion based on the latest tax developments, with a Monthly Tax Update paper.

Format & Locations

The Hobart program is delivered face-to-face, hosted by BDO, Hobart.
