February – November 2026 | 10 part series
Enhance your technical expertise and stay connected to the issues shaping tax practice today!
The Melbourne Tax Discussion Group meets monthly from February to November and brings together practitioners to collaborate, exchange insights and stay informed on emerging technical developments. Sessions combine structured technical updates with practical, discussion-based learning.
How the Sessions Run
Each session is an informal, discussion-based forum run by members of the group, supported by The Tax Institute. The format encourages open conversation, practical insights and peer-to-peer learning.
Session format:
While the format varies from month to month, each session includes one of the following approaches:
- Presentation – An informal presentation led by the month’s speaker on a topic of their choice, followed by a group discussion; or
- Round-table discussion – An open, discussion-based session where delegates raise and explore the latest issues arising in practice, without a formal presentation.
Delegates will also receive the Monthly Tax Update paper as part of their registration.
Format & Locations
The Melbourne program is delivered in a hybrid format, with a mix of in-person sessions hosted by member firms and online sessions throughout the year.
