In broadcast messages sent on 15 February and 18 February 2013 to tax agents and BAS agents respectively about the Portal, the ATO has advised that a number of systems fixes have been deployed, which it says have resolved the majority of errors being experienced by agents, including an intermittent 'permissions denied' error.
However, the ATO believes that some agents may still be experiencing issues and receiving similar error messages. It is continuing to investigate to determine any trends or similarities to assist in developing a solution.
If agents are still having problems with adding a client, viewing client accounts or updating client details, the ATO says that they should email the ATO at PortalIssues@ato.gov.au with their:
- registered agent number
- registered agent name
- contact name
- contact phone number.
