Engaging with our region: AOTCA and SGATAR

This paper reports on the Taxation Institute’s recent involvement in two key regional forums: Asia-Oceania Tax Consultants Association (AOTCA) and Study Group on Asian Taxation Administration and Research (SGATAR). AOTCA is the Asia-Oceania region’s only umbrella organisation for tax professional associations, with 20 member bodies from 16 countries/regions. SGATAR is the region’s forum for revenue authorities to discuss improvements in taxation administration. Its membership consists of 15 regional revenue authorities.
