Criteria

Each category has a different criteria to be eligible to enter that specific award.

All entries do require supporting documents, these include:

Supporting documents

Provide a current CV
Provide two supporting references
Answer the four questions outlined on the nomination form with a maximum word limit of 1000 words in total.

Interview

Short-listed applicants will complete a video interview with judges between 14 September and 23 September.

Key dates

This category recognises exceptional tax leaders who consistently demonstrate advanced technical expertise and leadership, as well as creative and innovative thinking.

Applicants must also:

Hold a CTA designation
Be a member of The Tax Institute
Have more than 15 years’ tax experience
Hold a senior leadership position
Have made a significant contribution to the tax profession, and exhibit exemplary ethics and professionalism.

This category recognises highly competent tax leaders who consistently demonstrate strong technical expertise and leadership, as well as creative and innovative thinking.

Applicants must also:

Be a member of The Tax Institute
Have more than 10 years’ tax experience
Hold a leadership position
Have made a positive contribution to the tax profession
Exhibit exemplary ethics and professionalism

This category recognises highly competent tax leaders who consistently demonstrate strong technical expertise and leadership, as well as creative and innovative thinking and practice as an accountant.

Applicants must also:

Be a member of The Tax Institute
Have more than 10 years’ tax experience
Hold a leadership position
Have made a significant contribution to the tax profession, and
Exhibit exemplary ethics and professionalism
