Ready to see what a career in tax really looks like?
The Tax Institute and Adelaide University Law School invite Income Tax Law students to a special evening with leading tax lawyers and professionals. This in-person event will provide a practical insight into the varied and dynamic nature of tax practice, the career pathways available within the profession, and the legal and commercial issues currently occupying practitioners.
The panel discussion will explore three key themes:
Following the panel discussion, students will have the opportunity to meet and speak with the panellists, tax professionals and representatives of The Tax Institute. Pizza and drinks will be provided during the networking component, creating an informal setting in which students can ask questions, learn more about career opportunities and begin building professional connections within the tax community.
The event is directly connected to the Income Tax Law course assignment. Students should attend ready to listen carefully, take notes and identify a technical area of tax law discussed by the panel that they may wish to research further. Attendance is compulsory for students enrolled in the course unless an alternative arrangement has been approved in advance.
All students must register before attending the event.
