This session discusses recent developments and topical issues in Victorian property taxes relevant to regional practitioners, including ‘primary production land’ exemptions from land tax, the Vacant Residential Land Tax (VRLT), and intergenerational duty exemptions for transfers of primary production land. Participants also received an overview of the Windfall Gains Tax (WGT) now that it has been in place for a couple of years. This session discussed live, practical issues, providing delegates with insights to help clients manage compliance and plan effectively across multiple state tax regimes.
